First Annual Winter Beer Carnival
Saturday, February 27thAtlanta Contemporary Art Center
3p.m. - 7p.m. (2p.m. VIP access)
Here's some
news to chase away that frustratingly persistent nip in the air. Coming up this
weekend is the First Annual Winter Beer Carnival! This
indoor/outdoor event promises over 60 of the best premier craft beers brewed
near and far.
In addition
to these must-try brews, you'll also find savory bites and tasty treats from
Ormsby's - one of the Westside's favorite new pubs. The all-day entertainment
continues with DJs and live performers. Oh, and can't forget to mention:
drinking games galore! Erm, that is, a carnival-style midway awaits you and
your Lady Luck.
The
carnival's extensive taps include unique brews such as a
Leffe Blonde, the Kona Pipeline Porter and three gluten-free drinks. Local
loves including Gordon Biersch and Sweetwater both offer multiple versions of
their famous ales. The first 1,000 buyers get a commemorative Winter Beer
Carnival glass. Plus, attendance is limited, so grab those tickets ASAP!
Tickets are
$30 in advance, or $35 at the door.
This includes admission, 5 game tickets,
and all the brews and booze you can consume.
VIP
admission is $50.
This will get you early access, 10 game tickets, plus a go at ten
of the top-rated, hard-to-find drinks. (Sweetwater's Dank Tank and the Rogue
Shakespeare Chocolate Stout are worth the extra $15 alone!)
Designated
drivers get in for just $15, and receive a wristband and 5 game tickets.
Keeping
things fun and responsible, Saferide America will offer on-site breathalyzer
testing and transportation arrangements.
