Kids in the City

Summer Learnin’ - Had Me a Blast!

Your kids have worked hard all year long, learning tons of fun facts to impress you with. Unfortunately, kids have a harder time retaining that knowledge when they aren't routinely inspired. So, what's a kid to do when Summer comes? Why, skip on over to Imagine It! The Children's Museum of Atlanta!

But, wait - isn't Summer supposed to be packed with playtime and tasty treats? Indeed, which is why Imagine It! has developed their innovative programs around hands-on fun. Through interactive exhibits geared towards ages 8 and under, children can learn about farm-fresh foods, easy ways to "go green", and much more!

Having a little trouble loving that daily dose of fruits and veggies? The "Eat A Rainbow" Sunday series is a must for all ages. Each week, Imaginators help kids make their very own yummy treats from locally-sourced produce.

Knowledge is priceless - however, parting with your hard-earned cash is still a bit hard. While daily admission is just $12.50 for anyone ages 2+, there are always good deals for the finding. The first is Target Free Second Tuesdays: every second Tuesday of each month, kids and adults receive free admission from 1p.m. to 7p.m. (and until 8p.m. during June and July). Group discounts are also available, making Imagine It! the perfect rainy-day remedy!

For hour-by-hour entertainment, check out the events calendar. Also, be sure to follow the fun on Twitter at @imagineitcma and on Facebook!
