A 3-time Tony Award® winner, Avenue Q is comedic rip through the dream-filled streets of New York. Played by a cast of quirky people and affable puppets, this musical follows Princeton to his tiny Avenue Q apartment, where he discovers the fuzzy underbelly of the "real world". Hum along as Princeton works, connives and scrambles his way to those big city dreams, with little more than his wit and some pocket lint.
Avenue Q is a smashing Broadway musical, comprised of "80% Tony-winning hilarity, 10% adult situations, 10% foam rubber." Through a score full of songs sure to have you dancing in your seat, as well as a few intriguing puppets, Avenue Q explores adult situations with irreverent glee. That said, the occasional full-puppet nudity and internet porn put this show firmly into the PG-13 category. Performed at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, the show runs from Tuesday, May 18 until Sunday, May 23. Showtimes through May 22 include an 8p.m. nightly performance and a 2p.m. matinee. The Sunday show starts at 6:30p.m. with a 1p.m. matinee.
