We weren’t the only ones putting on the Ritz Saturday night. It was quite the scene with everyone from Louboutin-sporting ladies flashing their red soles to tuxedoed men escorting long gowned women to a gala to the more casual jeans wearers — they all braved the sudden chilly temperatures to make their way to the Lobby Lounge atThe Ritz-Carlton Buckheadlast Saturday
We were there to enjoy the new offering at the Lobby Lounge, sushi plates paired with cocktails crafted by their expert mixologist. Before we took a sip of the first cocktail we enjoyed just drinking in the fire-lit, cozy atmosphere accompanied by live music.
Being avid gin people we had to start out with the Malaysian Gin Gin, made with beefeater gin, housemade ginger beer, aloe juice and fresh lemon, served in a tall glass with plenty of fresh mint. We loved its refreshing taste, somewhat similar to a Mojito. My husband had illusions or reproducing the drink at home until he saw the aloe juice, not an ingredient we generally have on hand.
We loved the sushi with the paired cocktails and enjoyed it even more in the coziness of the Lobby Lounge, a perfect place to be on a cold Atlanta night. It was certainly a romantic way to spend an evening and would be loads of fun with a group of friends as well.
The yummy selection is available Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. For the full menu including the specialty cocktails, click here. The Lobby Lounge doesn’t take reservations; just show up and enjoy.
