Paul Hagedorn opened a gallery where he is selling his own photography as well as other up and coming photographers. His profits go to 4 different charities. The gallery will be run by his two daughters.
He had a wonderful opening on Thursday night. All kinds of people from the Buckhead society to downtown and midtown came out to support the opening.
Spotted in the audience was Young Pak, a well know architect, as well as all the Peach Magazine people, which is currently my favorite magazine, which has featured a great article about Paul Hagedorn and his efforts.
The event introduced Atlanta to a new era of philanthropy. When you buy a photo from the gallery you are essentially donating the money to the different charities.
I love the idea of teaching people about philanthropy, and knowing that your dollar is going to help others and at the same time you get a great piece of art.
The best thing about the event was that it brought together so many different people from Atlanta; young and old, from Buckhead to Midtown and Downtown.
The Gallery is located at 425 Peachtree Hills Avenue Suite 25 Atlanta, Georgia 30305
