    Outdoor concerts

Which communities/parks have started a spring out door concert series that is kid friendly?

My son's band, Second Wave, is playing tomorrow outdoors, on the steps of the GA state capital building. 11:15am. It's a rally for the Nat'l Day of Prayer. Come one, come all!

    Re: Outdoor concerts

Decatur has a "Concerts on the Square" series every Saturday night from 7 - 9:30PM during the months of May and September.  Folks are welcome to bring a blanket or quilt with their picnic and set up on the grass around the Old Courthouse near the community bandstand.

Decatur is very family-friendly and friends of mine have raved about the concerts.  I'm hoping to go tomorrow night when the new series starts - this Saturday, May 3rd, at 7PM.  Be sure to arrive early to find your spot!

The Concerts on the Square are great.

I used to live on the southern side of Decatur in the Oakhurst neighborhood.  While the Concerts on the Square were just a short walk on Saturdays, the Jazz Concerts at the Old Scottish Rite building in Oakhurst were pretty cool too and that much closer.  I think they still do them Thursday nights in April and September.

Do these outdoor concerts have a roof or anything over them in some locations to block the sun or rain?
