Bobby Long co-wrote "Let Me Sign" for the soundtrack of Hollywood blockbuster 'Twilight.' The sound track has now sold 2,000,000+ and has been in the Billboard top 5 since knocking AC/DC off the top slot at the start of 2009.

Bobby Long has received 600,000 hits on MySpace since the end of January 2009.

Bobby Long's first single went to number 1 in the itunes UK unsigned chart and number 8 in their folk chart in April. The next single "The Bounty Of Mary Jane" is released the first week of August to co inside with the start of Bobby's 35 date "Dangerous Summer Tour" which starts in NYC on the 25th of July.

In mid September Bobby will be playing shows across Europe before starting a second US tour in NYC on the 25th of October. January 2010 sees Bobby playing major festivals in Australia and Japan on the way to appearances at SXSW.

In The Loop mentions that the popular Atlanta concert series is returning to Piedmont Park beginning June 1st and every Sunday after that until October 19th. The shows are free and start around sunset.

You can get more information about these concerts at the blog I mentioned, or by listening to the " Matt "Organic" Jones on Organic Sunday, every Sunday morning from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m. on Rock 100.5 and then continuing from 10 a.m. - noon on 99X.COM."

This is the sixth season of this concert series, and I was wondering if anyone had been to the previous concerts? Do you sit on the grass or is there seating? How early should one arrive? Where do you park?

I talked with Dave Wright who does many things in Atlanta including marketing and publishing. He enjoys going to restaurants, dancing and going to concerts and he said his favorite concert venue is the Variety PlayHouse.

Just went to a concert at the Vinyl on Peachtree Street last night. I hadn't been to the venue before, but the ambience is really nice. It's got an intimate setting with a pool table and bar and a small stage up front. I went to see Gravity Burn and Haloscript and the shows were both great. I highly recommend the place...and the bands!
