    Independence Day Celebration

In the Loop mentioned the Salute to America, an Independence Day Celebration being sponsored by Lenox Square and WSB-TV Channel 2.

    Highlights of the Celebration are:

-Kid Zone starting at 5 p.m.: An obstacle course and giant slide, face painting, balloon artists, and more.

-Live entertainment beginning at 6 p.m.on the main stage

-Popular country music artist Ashton Sheperd will perform at 9:05 p.m.

-The largest fireworks show in the Southeast begins at 9:40 and lasts for 15 minutes, including two mini-finales before the grand finale.

Lenox square is at 3393 Peachtree Rd. Call 404-233-6767 or go to www.lenoxsquare.com for more info. Using MARTA is being encouraged by organizers for this event.

This sounds like a good time! What's the 4th of July without some spectacular fireworks? This is the 49th year for this event, has anyone been before? Was it worth it? Was the fireworks show good?

This event is great. Lots of people - MARTA Subway is the best way to get there and go early to enjoy all the entertainment.

Centennial Olympic Park will also be hosting a 4th of July Celebration; live concert and fireworks. MARTA would also be the best form of transportation.
