Whole Foods Market Wine Dinner

I read on Atlanta Dish that Whole Foods Market in Midtown has a monthly Wine Dinner, each time with a different theme. The blogger mentioned that when she went, there was a six-course meal and wine for $20 and the theme was "A Taste of Local" featuring local purveyors. She mentioned that there was a turnout of about 80 people, and that the ambiance was great with some people even bringing candelabras.

Has anyone been to one of these Wine Dinners before? What was the theme when you went? What was the attire like? Would you go again?

Chow Down Atlanta recently mentioned Murphy's. The blogger mentioned that they had been to this restaurant many times over the course of many years, and that they could recommend the food to anyone. From their post it sounded like they serve contemporary comfort food, such as a lot of American favorites like pork chops, as well as more local foods like North Georgia Trout.They said the food and service have been consistently good for 25 years.

The restaurant is located in Virginia Highland.
Open 11:00 Am - 10:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
11 a.m. to midnight on Friday
8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Ah, there's nothing like comfort food. This place sounds like a win to me with good food and good service. Has anyone been here before? How did it measure up to you? Do you recommend it? Would it be a good idea to make reservations before going?

OK BRIN224, i can tell you something. the first time I went to this restaurant for brunch on sunday was when i was 15 years old, the year it opened. The view on a clear day is indescribable! it just does not get better....so if the food is just good...who cares!!

The food is better now, and I continue to go to look out.....

You will not get haut-cuisnine.....but good service and a magnificent time!

the Sun Dial Restaurant offers a great view

I heard that the Sun Dial restaurant is the best place to get a great view of Atlanta. The restaurant is situated on top of the Westin Peachtree Plaza, which would give a great view itself, but the restaurant also rotates 360 degrees! I also heard that the food was a bit pricey for what they offer, but the view makes up for it a little.

What is your experience with the Sun Dial restaurant? Is there another place that you would recommend more?
