Marriott's Spirit To Serve Our Communities Day in Atlanta a Huge Success

This morning, Marriott International's Chairman and CEO, J.W. "Bill" Marriott, Jr. volunteered at the Atlanta Community Food Bank as part of Marriott's annual Spirit To Serve Our Communities Day. Mr. Marriott joined over 50 Atlanta area Marriott employees to help sort food for the hungry.

Marriott International CEO to Volunteer at Atlanta Community Food Bank

I work for Marriott and just wanted to let everyone know that on Tuesday, May 20, Marriott employees in Atlanta will be given a half day off work to go out and volunteer in the local community. 50 of these employees will be working at the Atlanta Community Food Bank and will be joined by the chairman and CEO of Marriott, Bill Marriott. They will be sorting food to distribute to the hungry throughout Atlanta.

Marriott hosts a "Spirit To Serve Our Communities Day" like this every year and employees from around the globe take part. Usually Mr. Marriott volunteers in his hometown of Washington, D.C., but this year he decided to change locales and head to Atlanta. I'm coming down with him and I'm excited to be back in Atlanta and help out in your community!
